Scheduler
Our client is currently seeking a Scheduler for their St. Thomas facility. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in production scheduling or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., ERP, Flute), Microsoft Excel, and other office applications. Knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with different departments and customers.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and production delays efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing orders, schedules, and production records.
Responsibilities:
- Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders and production capacity.
- Order Management: Review and input customer orders into the scheduling system, ensuring accuracy in quantities, sizes, and specifications.
- Resource Allocation: Coordinate with supplier and inventory teams to ensure that raw materials and resources are available for production.
- Monitoring Production: Track production progress and make necessary adjustments to the schedule, assist in resolving any issues such as machine breakdowns or material shortages.
- Communication & Reporting: Maintain clear communication with production teams and management, providing regular updates on production status and potential delays.
- Quality Control Support: Ensure scheduled production runs meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
- Customer Relations: Liaise with customer service and sales teams to address delivery concerns or delays and manage customer expectations regarding delivery timelines.
