Mechanical Engineering Estimator

Our client is a successful metal fabrication company is currently recruiting for an Estimator for their Plant in the Cambridge area.

The Estimator is responsible for analyzing technical drawings, specifications, and client requirements to determine the projected costs of manufacturing parts and components.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serving as the main point of contact for clients, the Estimator addresses inquiries, shares progress updates, and ensures exceptional customer service throughout the quoting process.
• This role involves developing detailed cost estimates, working closely with internal teams, and guaranteeing that all proposals are accurate and competitively priced

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Solid grasp of welding techniques, materials, and production processes
• Familiarity with the fabrication of welded assemblies
• Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs
• Strong analytical and mathematical abilities for precise cost estimation
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving capabilities
• Clear and effective communicator with strong collaboration skills
• Experienced in using cost estimation software and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
