Our client, a global leader in automotive parts manufacturing, is currently seeking a Maintenance Department Manager for their Milton-area facility.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/industrial engineering, facilities management, or equivalent Skilled Trade CofQ/work experience
  • 5+ years of proven experience in maintenance and/or facility management within a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, HVAC, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure
  • Proficient in CMMS and facility management software
  • In-depth understanding of safety regulations, environmental standards, and compliance
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and team leadership

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of maintenance, repair, and facility operations to ensure safety and productivity
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance strategies and manage CMMS systems
  • Coordinate with contractors for facility systems including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment and facility upgrades
  • Manage maintenance budgets, track expenses, and optimize resource allocation
  • Conduct inspections, ensure compliance, and proactively address facility issues
  • Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and facility personnel
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and corporate standards
